Download cracked Netflix IPA file from the largest cracked App Store, you can also download on your mobile device with AppCake for iOS.
Almost certainly encrypted as all get out. Best hope is someone is able to reverse engineer the way the Netflix app decrypted the media using a rooted android phone and some fancy live in-memory monitoring and/or disassembling the Netflix APK and hoping to figure it out over assembly.
Bottom line is it's gonna take some very skilled crackers who, assuming they break it, will keep the tool private, maybe distributing to other trusted private scene groups, and that'll be that. Kirgizcha lirika kizga. If it ever goes public Netflix will have it all changed real quick. Always a game of cat and mouse. I'd imagine they'll start switching things up as soon some Netflix web-dl start to hit the 'market'. Whoever cracks this, if they're smart, will decrypt and Store as much media as possible before releasing to the scene to avoid Netflix fining out and modifying the security starting the process over for drm-stripping any new content.
Lot of different ways Netflix can make it difficult. I'd really enjoy reading a write up on the Netflix DRM crack if such a thing were to ever come about. No experience to crack stuff myself, but I've always found it really interesting and would love to get into it.
The files aren't proprietary, they just have non-standard file extensions. NFA - The audio channels. Multiple files indicate multiple languages.
It's just AAC. Not encrypted. NFI - Not sure what format this is, it's the 'info' file. NFS - Subtitles. Most times it's a TTML format, Subtitle Edit can open and convert to SRT. For more complicated fonts, it's a ZIP files containing PNG pictures with alpha channel transparency; converting that to SRT is possible but difficult. NFV - A 'standard' ISO video file (ie, the successor to MOV and predecessor to MP4, it wasn't widely used but most software can open it).
Video is compressed in VP9, but the data is encrypted. Most video players will refuse to start to play, some will show jibberish. I don't know what encryption they're using yet, or if the key is included in the manifest, json, or NFI files. I'll be working on it this week if I have time. Update: Netflix is using Widevine encryption on Android devices. It will only allow you to download if your setup allows for L1 Widevine Keybox - this requires your device support hardware keystorage and decryption. Your device's key cannot be retrieved, and the encrypted video's key is protected by your device's key (meaning only the hardware in your device can decrypt the video).
